Well, couldn’t find camera type, lenses and filters, but from a self portrait I found of him with a view camera, I can guess that he used large format view cameras for some of his photos.
Some of his images employed no cameras at all, but rather he made images by placing objects directly on photo-sensitive paper and exposing it with light from the enlarger.
Another technique he often imployed was solarization, which occurs when you expose an undeveloped print briefly to light, while it is half way through being developed in the developer chemical.
The website in source(s) says this, if its any help. Its difficult to find on the net exactly what type of camera, lens, and filters he used:
“A tireless experimenter with photographic techniques who participated in the Cubist, Dadaist, and Surrealist art movements, Man Ray created a new photographic art which emphasized chance effects and surprising juxtapositions. Unconcerned with “Craft,” he employed solarization, grain enlargement, and cameraless prints (photograms) which he called “Rayographs” – made by placing objects directly on photographic paper and exposing them to the light. Man Ray was, with Moholy-Nagy, the most significant maker of cameraless photographs in the 1920s and 1930s.”
